Rob Zombie To Branch Out Beyond Horror Movies

zombie_90Rob Zombie has confirmed that the next movie he plans to make will be a step away from his comfort zone. Rom com, anyone?

Rob Zombie has told the Chicago Tribune that he plans on breaking away from the horror genre with his next movie release.

“The movies I’ve made up to this point have been pretty dark and pretty much in that world because those are the opportunities that were presented,” said Zombie. “But I’m also working on something now that is not in that world at all. You know, the people that put up the money for these things know that if I stick to that sort of thing, it’s easily more profitable. So it’s a much bigger challenge to break out of it. But if everything goes according to plan, and the next movie that I want to make is the next movie, people are gonna be shocked as to what it is.”

What is Rob Zombie going to do with his clapper-board next? A romantic comedy with Sandra Bullock and Matthew McConaughey? A brat-pack flick with Vince Vaughn? The mind boggles.

Rob Zombie has suggested that UK dates could be on the cards in 2010. We’ve got our fingers crossed.

What is confirmed is that Rob Zombie’s new album, ‘Hellbilly Deluxe 2 – Noble Jackals, Penny Dreadfuls and the Systematic Dehumanization of Cool’, will be out on Roadrunner in early 2010.

i think Rob has got that kind of humour that just makes you think WTF! but i think it would be pretty cool if he did a comic book film. actually thinking about it, he would be perfect for a theatrical version of The Boys by Garth Ennis. he would be hardcore sticking to the story and all the gore and there are some serious wtf moments he could do well.

Have any of ye seen his El Superbeasto cartoon? It’s fuckin hilarious! So I could see him doing a comedy more than anything else – a live action Superbeasto maybe??

Bee_Gee

Is he doing the next Twilight movie?

Moshtank

heres hoping for a metal filled zombie romance film lol

His remake of halloween was not just one of the worst remakes i’ve seen, but one of the worst movies in general. Don’t fuck with the holy cows Rob!

That being said I have a soft spot for house/rejects, patchy as they can be. So i’m not sure where I stand on this.

I think there is an El SuperBeasto film coming out, there’s a website with cast and everything.

my money’s on comedy- but the kind of comedy which makes you laugh, then feel guilty for laughing.

I don’t know why, but I just have this feeling.

Rob put the clapper board down and tour the UK please, it’s time for some live shows.
