Rob Zombie To Branch Out Beyond Horror Movies
Rob Zombie has confirmed that the next movie he plans to make will be a step away from his comfort zone. Rom com, anyone?
Rob Zombie has told the Chicago Tribune that he plans on breaking away from the horror genre with his next movie release.
“The movies I’ve made up to this point have been pretty dark and pretty much in that world because those are the opportunities that were presented,” said Zombie. “But I’m also working on something now that is not in that world at all. You know, the people that put up the money for these things know that if I stick to that sort of thing, it’s easily more profitable. So it’s a much bigger challenge to break out of it. But if everything goes according to plan, and the next movie that I want to make is the next movie, people are gonna be shocked as to what it is.”
What is Rob Zombie going to do with his clapper-board next? A romantic comedy with Sandra Bullock and Matthew McConaughey? A brat-pack flick with Vince Vaughn? The mind boggles.
Rob Zombie has suggested that UK dates could be on the cards in 2010. We’ve got our fingers crossed.
What is confirmed is that Rob Zombie’s new album, ‘Hellbilly Deluxe 2 – Noble Jackals, Penny Dreadfuls and the Systematic Dehumanization of Cool’, will be out on Roadrunner in early 2010.
