Sabaton Confirmed For Mammoth Dragonforce Tour!

Hammer cuaght up with Sabaton’s Par Sundstrom at this weekend’s Bloodstock.
How does it feel to be invited on the Dragonforce tour?
Sundstrom: “Dragonforce is one of the most popular bands in the UK so it’s very exciting. We made good friends with them back in 2006 when we did six dates around the UK. We’ve always wanted to come back but we never managed to synchronize what we were doing to the same time. We wanted to tour Europe and we planned to record a new album so we didn’t expect to go on the road. But then Herman (Li, Dragonforce guitarist) asked us to support them so we moved our recording schedule so that we could!”
They’re well known for their on-tour mischief, will you be partaking?
Sundstrom: “Haha, we know the band pretty well – we’re good friends – so I’m sure there will be a lot of craziness and fun! Seven weeks on tour with a band will do that. We work well together, we’re both up and coming and hard-working bands – I’m sure it’ll be a fantastic tour. I can’t wait!”

They supported DForce with Edguy in 2006 I think but weren’t listed on the bill.

Well, DF aren’t the greatest of bands, but they do seem to have a good taste when it comes to support … Turisas, Dark Tranquillity, Sonata Arctica and Sabaton? Great support, and it’s always good to see a more mainstream metal band helping others’ popularity.
My boyfriend, and myself did go to see sabaton we weren’t bothered by dragonforce, and once again they were absaloutly amazing.
