Kerry is very wrong indeed!!! Anthrax were by far the band of the weekend and put on a fucking incredible show!! Machine Head were really not as good as everyone made them out to be. They wouldn’t stand a chance if they toured with Megadeth, Slayer and Metallica.

Anthrax were good at sonisphere, but machine head were band of the weekend. However the whole point of the tour with the big four, is the big four, not some big 3 +1 other.

What about just Slayer and Megadeth then its only good bands on the tour.

Machine Head weren’t that great at Sonisphere – they could have easily fitted in another song instead of stopping every five minutes to cry about how they do it all for the fans.

Anthrax were phenomenal at Sonisphere. While I like Machine Head, I found their set a little boring by comparison. Would be amazing to see the big four show happen.

Didn’t go to Sonisphere but Kerry King is a bit harsh with his comments the Big Four is Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax. As good as Machine head are they were not part of the BIG FOUR. Plus that Tour would be too good.

Kerry King always comes across as a complete tit when he speaks. Anthrax are definatly a better fit than Machine Head, no matter how good they are they are!. I always thought machine head, mainly rob flynn thinks he’s the most hardcore thing since the chainsaw anyway. I agree with Murray’s comment.

If Lars did put something together would he choose by who played best at Sonisphere or who is thebest ban, with the best heritage, who the fans want to see and, most importantly, who was part of the big four? I think the way it’s put together is meant to be the founders of metal as Metallica, Slayer, Megadeath & Anthrax where all bands from the early 80’s that started it in many ways, I would love to see all these bands in one place. I was at NEC to see The clash of the titans Testament, Suicidal tendencies, Slayer & megadeath that was a good night. So I think it should go ahead good chocie of bands \m/

Testament (and Exodus) made a huge contribution to thrash metal and have been around as long as the others.

why dont they just have like a day festival consisting or more bands than just these 5 (say bring in lamb of god and someone else that constantly tours with these bands) and bring it all over the world and have the first thrash fest. and have rotating slots for who does what. its so simple

The Four would be great (Slayer, Megadeth, Metallica, Antrhax) in whatever order and turning day by day. However, should be other bands like Death Angel, Overkill, Exodus and Kreator from the Old-School and would be great to alternate with some new stuff like Municipal Waste!

Great idea — TESTAMENT!

The Big Four are Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax and Slayer. Machine Head didn’t even exist at the peak of thrash metal. The 80’s fans who would come out to a show like this don’t want to ruin the nostalgia with 90’s crap like Machine Head.

If not Anthrax, then Overkill should join. They’ve been making pure thrash metal since the early 80s.

Get rid of Anthrax and put Testament in their. Originally part of the big four before Anthrax and should have stayed there in my opinion. I don’t like comedic thrash.
