The once System Of A Down frontman is working on some reflective prose. “I wandered lonely as a loon…”
“I am in the middle of writing a follow-up to my poetry book, ‘Cool Gardens’. The new collection of works is yet to be titled, but it will definitely feature illustrations by Roger Kupelian, the director of my music video for ‘Honking Antelope’. I am looking to create a visual/interactive element to the new poetry book and more details will be released as they are available.”

His solo work was crap, and although SoB was better, they both felt like they were missing their other halve’s in their sound…
He looks like he’s being tortured in that pic!!! He is a genius tho. And Jingee you’re almost right, but his solo stuff isn’t crap!
His solo stuff was certainly not crap. Musically and lyrically it was 10 times better than Scars although I did love them both. He seems a completely different person compared to SOAD Serj.
But I agree. They MUST get back together. Another album is probably not such a good idea, but from someone who never got to see them play live, a reunion tour would just be the dogs bollocks.

Scars are awesome, Serj solo is awesome? stop moaning about it that SOAD should get back together! this way we get 2 awesome sets of music coming out
In my opinion the lyrics in Serj’s music was better but the music in Scars’ was better.
But anyways on subject – Ive got Cool Gardens, so I will try and get my hands on this when it comes out

I agree with will,
SOB had some catchy songs but in Serj’s work had more of a message to them Serj’s album is something you want to listen to when your pondering about the wicked world whereas SOB’s music is something you get high to and stick two pencils up your nose with a pair of underpants on your head and go “whibble”
Hehe, there’s no question that Scars had some catchy songs but musically they weren’t anywhere near as good as Serj, but whats the hell – opinions are like assholes etc etc.
But they still need to get back together…full stop.

Oh aye definetly. For anyone who hasnt seen them, regardless if its a small indoor gig or massive festival SOAD own live. Arguably one of the few live bands better than Slipknot…*throws that out there to start a debate/argument/whatever*
Bold statement Merk! Never seen SOAD live but have seen Slipkont several times and they take some beating!
I’v seen both live and tbh it is hard to say which one is better in my view
Honestly, S.O.A.D died for me as soon as the fourth album released, and my ears bled.
Good on Serj though, I guess.
