Serj Tankian’s Dad To Release Album
The System Of A Down singer is even putting it out on his label. Awww.
Khatchadour Tankian, Serj Tankian’s father, is to release his album ‘Inchbes Moranak’ in December.
A full statement from Serj reads: “Being that the holidays are a time for being with family, I felt it appropriate to update everyone about a project near and dear to my heart, the debut album by my dad, Khatchadour. The album, ‘Inchbes Moranak’, will be out in December at selected record stores, iTunes and our very own web store at SerjicalStrike.com.
“Be on the lookout for more details about my dad’s record and possible future special announcements. As always, I will update you on the happenings. In the meantime, we have created a MySpace and Facebook profile for him.”

That’s exactly what jumped out at me! Has anything been said recently about his new album, or could that possibly now be on hold whilst he re-joins System?
If Download got SOAD & AC/DC then it would be possibly THE best Download EVER!
@andy, from what ive seen System members have been playign with Serj so i would asssume its his 2nd solo album. we might see something system by the end of next year maybe. its hard to tell as there seems to a lot of hype now to get the band reformed so we may see something surface around summer. although im not sure what that will do Systems sound. Serj stayed pretty much to what System sounded like but more melodic musically. Scars was completely different with a more 60’s brit-pop feel ot it (in my mind it sounded very Beatles on some songs). but im hoping they mix more of the sound from the self titled and Toxicity,
