Slayer, = so overrated, 1-2 riffs just repeated over and over, poor solos, poor composing, poor vocals, and cliche lyrics. Sorry, but Slayer is one of the most overrated metal bands ever.

I have to agree with Dion, they’re by no means a bad band, but they do’nt really sound as great as everyone claims them to be either.
I know most bands have their own sound that is identifiable through their songs obviously, but Slayer’s just sound a bit too samey to really stand out from each other.

Megadeth FTW.

i thought it was brilliant, solo’s r kick ass, the riff is consistent, the vocals sound strong and dave on the drums sounds awesome, anyone “metal” fan dissin slayer needs 2 sort themselves out big time!…in 10 years time were gona be wishing slayer made one more record, so lets enjoy them while theyre still here

Why bother with Slayer when nowadays there’s bands even more (depending on preference) Satanic/Faster/Heavier/or Technically gifted at playing.

Can’t believe im saying this i lovee Slayer. But with all these albums out so far and comming out (Wrath, Crack the Sky, Pray for Villains, Endgame, Looking in View) Is there even time for the old school thrashers anymore? I mean they have kept there sound, but some bands have developed it and this song in perticular is a bit of a drag really. Kerry’s hype better pay off, and for their careers sake i really hope so =//

Jas, Im a huge metal fan, have paid to see Slayer at least 3 times and still rate Reign In Blood as one of the best albums of all time, but you have to admit they are past their best. Im hoping that the new stuff is better than this as the rest of Christ Illusion was better than the lead single, but it aint looking good.

Reign In Blood was technically amazing and always will be, but since God Hates Us All Slayer have been, dare i say it…boring. It continues with this song, same old riff, same vocal delivery and content and pretty standard drumming.

The rest of the album Im hoping will be better, otherwise I might not even buy it.

Slaytanic… there’s only been one album since God Hates Us All so a little hard to tell.
Fingers crossed the album will be a return to form mind. GHUA was amazing for me.

Recycled riffs, poor solos, 1-2 riffs repeated over and over the whole song, same cliche cheesy lyrics, sorry, poor vocals, Slayer are a one dimensional overrated band, because they sound loud, lol.

Slayer deathcore?? I think not, they are thrash and always will be. Once again, the title said “listen to the new slayer album” not “listen to the new scenekid fagg album”. Personally, I’m more looking forward to Megadeth’s new album, but I do hope Slayer improves (especially when it comes to their lyrics).

Yeah, you tend to find lots of bands (deathcore in particular) rip off Slayer riffs. That said, apart from the opening riff this was kinda ‘filler’ by Slayer sytandards. Shoulda finished the song after the second verse and chorus.
Still, if this is a filler song on the album i have pleanty of hope for some excellent songs.

I just don’t see how you can like Slayer and not like this song. This is nothing out of the ordinary for Slayer and that is what I love about this band. They conform for none. This is what they do, have been doing and will continue to do until they quit. If you want bands that “grow” and conform to try to impress someone or make a dollar then by all means throw out your Slayer stuff and go jam to Metallica. As for me my money is better spent on someone who doesn’t compromise their integrity for a buck.
