The Smashing Pumpkins have made their new track ‘A Song For A Sun’ available for free download. Click here to download this track completely free of charge.
The track is one of 44 that will make up the band’s new album, ‘Teargarden For Kaleidyscope’. Billy Corgan and his latest batch of cohorts are currently recording this effort and it remains unknown how the tracks will be distributed once the record is completed.

Bill Corgan said he was going back to the roots of SP, to the psychedelic rock stuff….
That being said I can deffinatley hear the influences, I can also hear a major loan of ideas from Stairway to heaven in the first 2 mintues of this song…
then the solo sounds like classic pink floyd… I’d say the smashing pumpkins have revisited the sound of the 70s and said “we’re staying here”
lyrically not great, the music is something to mention though, if you like floyd and zepplin…. give it a try
not sure how smashing pumpkins fans will take to this though….
Very big SP fan. Not incredibly impressed tbh, the new stuff has very little or no character at all. Not moved in the slightest.
