I’ll have a quick guess at who will headline.

Sat – KISS
Sun – GreenDay

Bassically from the following facts. Kiss have confirmed they will be over in the UK in Summer/Fall time with their Sonic Boom/Alive 35 World Tour. They have a new album just released and it will be 2 and a bit years since they last played a very succesful set in the UK. A one off festival date is much more likely than a full tour that they promised us at Download and we still havn’t received.

Greenday – Again, new album just relased, about to embark on a very succesfull UK arena tour in which they will no doubt pop a comment in there about coming over in August for a festival, which will spread rumours all over forum boards about either a Sonisphere or a Reading/Leeds headline slot. However with Blink 182 very likely to headline the R/L weekend, it is extremeley unlikely they would book two punk punk/alternative bands to headline the same weekend, with the vaery varid audience those fests attract.

Sonisphere is a growing festival and would be a much more comercial spot for GreenDay to play. Plus both bands would sell the weekend a whole lot better than Linkin Park and Metallica did. A surprising as that sounds its true, however Sonisphere’s problem was it was new, bands were cancelling, then self anpuncing then cancelling, and it was being built up very slowly compared to R/L and Download.

Other bands I predict will play are Slayer[Poss 2nd stage headliner],Trivium, Ace Freshley, The Offspring[Poss 2nd stage headliner], Pendulum, Killswitch Engage, Five Finger Death Punch, Steel Panther [Most likely 2nd stage headliner of the lot], Rob Zombie [Only UK date of 2010], Bowling for Soup.

Slipknot would bore me personally. They were here last year at download, and with only 4 albums behind them, I couldn’t see much of a different set being played. I’m wanting something rare

What would be better if you added Five Finger Death Punch, Lamb Of God, Behemoth and Sucide Silence. And invite Corey Taylor back. He is awesome as a soloist.

Slipknot won’t be headlining, there finsihing thier tour in Jan and by the time Sonisphere 2010 comes around Corey and Jim will be too busy with Stone Sour. Muse would be an interesting bet though.
