Soulfly Drummer: New Material Is Like “‘Arise’ On Crack”
Thrashy groove metal warriors Soulfly are currently busy at work on their new studio album, due out in early 2012 via Roadrunner, and drummer David Kinkade has offered us some tantalising updates.
According to his Facebook page, the as-yet-untitled new opus is “crushing, fast thrash, blasting, tribal and fuelled by extreme burrito fury. . . The record is sounding fucking SICK. Thrashy as fuck… totally ‘Arise’ on crack and speed.”
Sounds good to us. Buritto metal = the new djent?
