Steel Panther Announced For Ozzfest UK Line-up
Steel Panther are the latest band to be confirmed for the UK leg of Ozzfest 2010.
The sunset strip quartet, famed for their outrageously funny and profane shows – where no one is safe from ridicule – make a welcome return to the UK after their recent appearance at Download, and hosting OZZFEST media partner METAL HAMMER MAGAZINE’s GOLDEN GODS AWARDS.
The legendary touring behemoth that is OZZFEST hits the UK with a one-off date at London’s O2 arena on September 18th 2010. Headliner OZZY OSBOURNE will be accompanied on the main stage by KORN, MURDERDOLLS, STEEL PANTHER and SKINDRED, with more acts still to be announced for the second stage. In addition to the music on offer, OZZY and co will take over the entire O2 complex, offering up a Village Of The Damned, with fairground rides, stalls and tattooists.
The 2010 package will be the first UK OZZFEST show in over five years, and is also the first time the O2 features a general admission format on the lower bowl; GA ticket holders will be able to choose between watching the show from seats, or the specially enlarged standing area. Top level tickets will also be available offering the usual seating.

should be a laugh, but what calibre are the bands on the 2nd stage gonna be? or maybe they’ll be heavier or… :S
Saw the Panther at Brixton Academy this year. When they were actually playing, they were really good, but there was WAY too much clowning around between songs. They really need to sort that out.
@rambodude couldn’t agree more
hopefully the second stage will be better, wnat to see skeletonwitch and dimmu on there at least. steel panther can play well but i reckon they would annoy me live.
nice!
Really? Are people still buying into this Steel Panther shit? It was mildly amusing for about 2 minutes but it’s time to put the wigs to rest I reckon.
Here’s an idea, book a real band.
Streel Panter? Korn? Murder Dolls?? a bit lame for an OZZFEST
great now these clowns are announced, theres gonna be a load more clahns watching them
@Rambodude
Very true. There’s only so long you can drag out sexual hyperbole and blowjob imitations and Steel Panther went way beyond that at Brixton.
It was tiresome. Great while they played but the ‘banter’ got old quite rapidly.
Yawn…The US attempt at Spinal Tap (which also wasn’t funny after 5 minutes). Unless you’re 12 or under, fart / poo / vagina jokes are only funny for so long…
I agree rambodude, at download they did so much clowning around, they didnt have time to play fat girl. Left a sour taste.
I’m feeling that this line up is kind of safe. Ozzfest used to be about getting people into new bands that didn’t necessarily fit into normal festivals. Ozzy won’t feel threatened by playing with any of these bands as none will hungry enough to try and play him off the stage. Korn were tired the last time that I saw them, Steel Panther will play it for laughs, Murderdolls will put on a good display as will Skindred but won’t drain the energy from the fans in attendance. The second stage may offer a glimmer of hope but, I’m not feeling any great deal of excitement for this gig.
Whitechapel please!!!
@TheCraigus out of curiosity have you been to a Skindred show? I have never seen a whole crowd move so much except for Lamb of Gods.
@Phantasmagasm Totally, one of the best shows i’ve been to, Benji really knows how to work a crowd. Psyched to see ‘em again.
UUURRRHHHH! I am bored of Steel Panther now. Same gags, same banter and not enough fairly okish music. Very happy with the rest of the line up so far (but a bit unsure whether Murderdolls will be any good). But seriously. I have seen enough Steel Panther. Until they do something new, find a new joke, or up their game a bit, I’m not interested. I would only watch them for the Backstreet Boys cover, and that isn’t even their own song.
Steel Panther are just getting boring. They were funny at first, but every time they open their gobs now they are just full of the same boring, pathetic innuendo’s!!!
I bet this time next year nobody will give a shit about them.
I didn’t give a shit about ‘em this time last year. :0P
Well, I dunno about you guys, but as someone who has never seen Steel Panther before, I’m actually quite stoked to see them, although nowhere near as excited as I am for the Prince of Darkness himself, KoRn and Skindred. Hoping that Devildriver, BLS or Motley Crue are the TBC special guest
Awesome!!
@Jake N I thought SP were the TBC special guest
if steel panther dropped the fucking about and just played it would be good as they are a tight unit as musicians, hoping black label society get announced, hatebreed, devildriver, even rob zombie and black spiders
Manowar?
funny i check steel Panther myspace page and it says there playing in las vegas so how the fuck can the play at ozzfest??? and hope BLS are playing
and i dont think Rob Zombie will play cause Rob piss off with Ozz taking his band members
