Steel Panther Video Live From Last Night!
Everyone from Metal Hammer went down to see Steel Panther at Shepherds Bush last night, and to say we had a ball would be an understatement…
If you want to see what you missed, or reminisce if you were there, check out the videos below…

This was awesome – ‘Kickstart my Heart’ as an encore was a pleasant surprise too!
I was at the garage in glasgow on tuesday and they were totally awesome, cant wait for them to come back!
The place was heaving everyone knew the words, one of the best gigs I’ve been to Panther just cant disapoint, the place went mad for ‘death to all but Metal’ the new kings of metal surely!
I live in Shepherd’s Bush and you should’ve seen the totty on the tube on the way out there. I was barring up all the way from Bond Street…
@Matt
That’s a HUGE lie.
And the reason everyone went mad for Death To All But Metal was because it’s the only song most people there knew. So many people have jumped on the bandwagon…it was mad, but the gig at 229 3 months back were better.
Where was Hammer at the 229 club then aye?
@Matt
That’s a HUGE lie that everyone was singing.

By the way, I’m saying it’s a huge lie that everyone knew the words. Most people weren’t singing.
@ Michael. Spot on.
The 229 gig was much better,last night was just the exact same gig (even the between song banter was the same) with a bigger crowd. Most people didn’t seem to know anything besides DTABM. I don’t think i’ll bother going to see them again. As for the totty on the tube,most of ‘em i saw looked about 12
I was talking about it was a lie that people were singing. most people weren’t.
@ Michael
As they only have one album its to be expected their gigs are gonna be similair. The Glasgow gig was honestly awesome, most people were singing all of the songs
I was down in the pit and everyone was belting out the words to 90% of the songs, dunno where you guys were sounds like you missed out!
@Matt was down at the front for the start. Then a couple of slutty blondes tried pushing in front like “LET ME IN FOR ONE SONG PLEASE” I was like “Err. No.” All the wanted to do was get their attention. I eventually dropped back to the middle because I couldn’t move and was getting pissed off with this guy threatening to start a fight and being a complete asswank. But seriously hardly anyone knew the songs. I heard loads of people before the gig saying “Yeah I need to buy the album.”
@Sean I agree, but even the banter was the same more or less. And they did the exact same covers too (minus I Believe In a Thing Called Love as Justin Hawkins wasn’t there.) So they swapped that with Hell’s on Fire. Was good, but could’ve been better.
Yeah, I know the chicks on the tube were about 12. I never said that was a problem…
Well, Michael, it was a different story at Manchester: EVERYONE (and i mean EVERYONE) knew the words, and it was the best atmosphere at a gig i’ve ever seen! It would seem us northeners can Feel The Steel more than you southerners!
@ Michael
This was the first time iv seen them but i can imagine the banter being the same. They finished Glasgow with a cover of Jump, was kinda disapointed at that as i was hoping for a Crue song!! The chicks at Glasgow seemed very young too
@Wilfium Haha! Probably will agree with you there.
@Sean Really? Man it’s surprising they finished with Panama and Kickstart My Heart just like they did 3 months ago in London. Something different would’ve been nice.
By the way, I’m not slagging them off, I enjoyed it but some people just ruin it for others I guess.
@ michael: that guy you said trying to start a fight and being a complete asswank may have been the same guy who started on me and threatened to nut me numerous times, also had a massive go at a girl on the barrier…a real tough guy.
besides from that one moment i enjoyed it, i was singing all the way through (aside from when i recorded a couple of videos which are up there because when i record videos it picks me up and my singing his aweful lol), first discovered them a few yrs back now when i was at college and they were still metal skool.
Haha yeah Haskeet! It was you! I was literally right behind you. Infact I was probably in front of you for the beginning when the two blonde girls were tryna push past and I was like NOOOOO. And he was touching you on the head and poking you going “YA DON’T THREATEN WOMEN”. I was standing there laughing like “Man, what a cunt.”
to be honest i didnt even hear most of what he said at first, i could feel someone poking me and touching me on the head but i just ignored it, wasnt until he started full on yelling at me that i noticed him really, im still quite intrigued (sp!?) as to how in his mind i was the cunt…
but also in a way it was a blessing in disguise. I ended up getting shunted a smidge further to the right which got me away from him and i had a tiny bit more room which meant i wasnt getting completly crushed anymore.
@Michael: There was some slutty blonde trying to force her way in between me and my mate (we were the two guys at the barrier in the massive black & blonde wigs). Unfortunately for her her hand was on the barrier when I was pushed forward and I managed to smash my elbow onto her fingers :/ I do remember some guy trying to start a fight behind me and to my right though.
