Steven Tyler To Take Legal Action Against Aerosmith Members?
It looks like the rubber-lipped vocalist has had enough of his bandmates trying to replace him.
Billboard.com are reporting that Tyler’s attorney Skip Miller wrote to Aerosmith’s manager, Howard Kaufman, last week, requesting that the band “immediately cease and desist from engaging in acts and conduct to the harm and detriment of your own client, Aerosmith, and our client who is one of its members”.
In fairness, if they’re approaching Billy Idol to replace Tyler, detrimental doesn’t quite cover it.
“Steven Tyler does not want lawsuits,” continued Miller. “We do not want to go in that direction. The direction we want is Aerosmith, with Steven Tyler, touring in Europe, touring Latin America, releasing a new album… This is the direction it’s all intended to go.
“It’s just amazing to me current management would be taking any other position.”
Miller suggests, on behalf of Tyler, that a meeting is called amongst Aerosmith’s shareholders (whatever that means!) on February 9th. If there are plans for the band to tour Europe, can’t they just stop this madness and make it happen?

Download/Sonisphere/birthday party organisers would be insane to book these guys at the moment. They’re falling apart at the seams. My money says even if they were booked, they wouldn’t show up. I definitely wouldn’t take a chance on them when there are so many bands who could play in their place who wouldn’t bail at the 11th hour. What have they done in the last 10 years to warrant a spot anyway?

Sure we as the band want to celebrate our 40th anniversary and if Tyler doesn’t want to be apart of this we’ll get another sing…. Yea that makes a lot of sense. I don’t know I believe this can only be celebrated with the whole band, screw this whole were getting a new singer stuff they need to work out there problems cause the top sentence just doesn’t make sense for them. New singer equals new band!!!
The fact that Tyler and Aerosmith have separate representatives speaks volumes, but they’re a business and businesses are run by share holders and corporate bigwigs. Where’s the rock n’roll?

aerosmith have become a joke now. no new album in years, a singer in rehab who they’re trying to replace after 40 years….
replacing such a well established band member is dodgy ground, i can understand why if tyler isnt capable but it still seems like nobody knows whats going on, maybe they need to get together and do a farewell tour cos its getting ridiculous
