Stone Sour To Begin Recording New Album In January
Corey Taylor confirms that a new Stone Sour album will be with us in 2010.
Stone Sour will begin recording their brand new album in January. Speaking to AOL’s Noisecreep, Taylor confirmed “We’ve already got ten tunes fully written and another 15 we’re kind of working on here and there. When I’m not on the road I’m still working, I never stop. And it’s really good, everything we’re doing is really, really good.”
Speaking about the album’s direction, Corey said: “I can say the material is darker than ‘Come What(ever) May’, but a lot more melodic, a lot stronger, a lot more mature, and the lyrics that are coming out of me are really good. I’m really excited.”

Finally, I just got turned on to Stone Sour. Glad to see theyre still cranking out the music. TBH I thought All hope is Gone was a weak album with only about 4-5 of the songs really worth listening to.
Finally!!!! I Love Stone Sour. They are truly my favorite band. They’re music / songs is kinda the soundtrack to my life. I can’t wait to hear the new album and hopefully get to see them live.

What are you people talking about?? Slipknot is going great. Slipknot is the best band ever (of course Stone Sour being number two) and all you retards saying that they should drop the masks are morons. All Hope Is Gone was a great album. I thought their first album was the best but that DOES NOT mean that All Hope Is Gone had to suck. Slipknot is still going strong and Corey Taylor is great at whatever he does. Have any of you losers heard him with the Junk Beer Kidnap Band?? He’s fantastic even though that music is slower and more beautiful. Slipknot is fast, angry, aggresive, and he’s fantatic with that too. Stone Sour is both of those with its own amazing qualities thrown in. Let’s see you idiots make three bands and have all of them be equally amazing before you judge Corey for having MAYBE ONE off album with Slipknot.
