System Of A Down Set To Return?
Bassist Shavo Odadjian has sent recent rumours of a SOAD reunion into overdrive.
It goes without saying that System Of A Down are one of the bands that we’d most like to reunite. Whenever we post about bands that you’d like to see reunite, SOAD are always mightily high on the list and, after 3 quarters of the band reunited onstage in LA over the Christmas period, it seems as though this may be a possibility sooner rather than later.
Well, SOAD bassist Shavo Odadjian has offered the below message on his Twitter 7 hours ago. Could there be a System Of A Down reunion on the horizon?

got to say if this was this “biggest news story’s of 2010″ andy copping was going on about the the download festival then it’s quite disapointing as I knew it would be.

i can’t get excited about SOAD or soundgarden reforming. i like both bands, and if they were playing at a festival but not headlining then id probably watch them. they just don’t make me feel like going crazy, whereas maiden and rammstein will be amazing at sonisphere.
and before everyone starts going on about download festival, dont forget reading/leeds is likely to try and steal a band or 2 as usual

@Kev – Alice Cooper’s headlining the SECOND stage on Friday at Sonisphere. The main stage headliner hasn’t been announced yet.
Now, AC/DC have already self-confirmed for Friday at Download, AND confirmed they have an announcement on 30th, which also appears to be when Download will be announcing. So they look definite.
With 30th being my bday, it’d make my day to see AC/DC, Metallica & SOAD announcedas headliners. Also, Alexisonfire have said they’ve got some news over the next few weeks (and self-confirmed a while back) So if AOF are announced aswel, it will be one AMAZING bday present from Download.
I bloody hope they re-unite im a new SOAD fan and would love ot hear some new stuff from the guys

Seen SOAD bout 4 times and to be honest they will never be able to match the show they put on when they 1st played in london.

SOAD had a good run and Toxicity was a great album, but they fucking SUCK live. and with the guitarist wanting to take over the singer’s job it’s probably for the better that they broke up. i’m not missing them.

Serj has stated his intention to start on a new album, and is set to release a live album in March.
the band minus Serj have also been doing the odd shows, meaning I think itll only be them three, so Im not totaly convinced, cant see SOAD without Serj…
