Avenged Sevenfold (A7X) are a metalcore-era heavy metal band from Huntington Beach, California, heavily inspired by power and trad metal. Formed in 1999, the band take their name from the biblical story of Cain and Abel in Genesis, and their right wing politics and often violent life-style have made them notorious.
