Formed in east London in 1975 by bassist Steve Harris, Iron Maiden rose to international fame after firing Paul Di’Anno and hiring Bruce Dickinson. With Harris’s often esoteric lyrics and individual heavy metal sound Maiden survived The New Wave Of Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) to become one of the biggest rock bands in history. And the story continues.
