Limp Bizkit:
Jessica Michalik, suffered a heart attack when the 55,000 strong crowd surged to the front of the stage during Limp Bizkit’s performance at Sydney RAS Showgrounds last year.
Gratton vehemently denied claims that Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst whipped the crowd up into a frenzy by screaming obscenities at them.
“This is one of the scariest things I have ever seen,” said Gratton. “I have been doing this for over twelve years and I have never, ever seen something so frightful. It would have been a simple matter for the promoters to have killed the band’s sound and to have taken immediate control of the sound and lighting systems in the arena. The security staff just stood back and did nothing when a crowd of up to fifty people collapsed meters from the stage. They did not appear to recognise the signs that people were distressed and needed to be removed.”
Fred Durst is set to give evidence via a video link from LA on 17th June.
