hogan_90Your round-up of this week’s biggest stories!

As far as bonkers stories go, the one that dropped a few days ago about Hulk Hogan wanting to join Metallica will take some beating. Hulkamania running wild in the same slot that was once filled by the legendary Cliff Burton? No, you’re alright. Thanks anyway.

The Classic Rock Awards took place on Monday night (and we’ve only just about recovered from them) and sticking with the world of Classic Rock, all is not good in the Aerosmith camp and a split looks a distinct possibility. Sad news, indeed.

Bon Jovi are also looking like a serious possibility for Download 2010. Could they follow the mighty Leppard’s performance this year?

Chimaira, Cancer Bats and DevilDriver told us their top 10 albums of the year. Get those lists here. We wonder if they thought about their lists until their eyeballs bled in the same fashion we have with ours.

Also check out this week’s podcast for your views on the new Slayer album and all of the best news, chats and a few tips for 2009 too. It’s all here on the Metal Hammer Podcast!
