I can remember me and 3 of my friends back in 2004/5 trying to figure out a way to get to ipswich to see trivium play a show there (us being 13/14 and living in norwich it obviously did not work out). Few years later they are coming to norwich and i am excited :)

im gutted they play manchester on the weekend of hammerfest!!!! come on metal hammer book them for hammerfest and get them to put the manchester date bk a week!!! please!!!

This kinda goes to show what a mid-career “shit” album can do to a rising metal band (them now playing venues that ain’t that big).
I can remember the excitement and expectation of The Crusade after Ascendancy…Shame it was crap, they might have been as big as BFMV if it had been good =/

kingOli

Smaller venues are better, being packed in against the band is awesome.

Agree with kingOli, the small venues where you can touch the band if you reach your arm out are so much better, theres less of a seperation, just a bit more real. And to Jingee, Scream Aim Fire was a mid career shit album but it still flew off the shelves. It’s timing and hype when it comes to commercial success. Plus, The Crusade outsold Ascendancy. And to Paul, no! :P That’s the date i’m going to

Jop (Hybridsoldier01)

I saw them twice last month…
They are so freakin’ awesome live!!
(Not only live xD)

Crusade may have outsold Ascendancy but it still sucked >_>

And its about time we got a headline set for this!

Saw em on Black Crusade with Machine Head and then Unholy Alliance with Slayer, never seen a full headline set though.

And i dunno whether i’ll prefer em in Glasgow Barrowlands or the o2 Academy where i saw em last time, they were fucking amazing there.

Fucking hell, does any metal band want to play at the birmingham academy anymore? its all in the fucking wulfrun all which is missions from the other side of brum >.<

Valentine

i thought they were playing 2 dates at the koko?

whos the support i really wanna know , old friends??

Jingee: I’ll admit The Crusade was a huge anti-climax compared to Ascendancy, but Shogun is much much better!
As Matt said the UK was pretty much one of (if not THE first country) that really embraced the band and has constantly supported them.
Besides, the last couple of times they’ve been over as part of arena tours with Slayer and Machine Head, so this makes a welcome change :D
Better still is their playing fucking Inverness which is just 30 minutes drive away from where I live, which makes a change from travelling to Glasgow to see them XD
That’s 2 great metal bands coming up here now! First Dragonforce and now Trivium, well chuffed!

No idea who the supports will be, but if they take any combination of Gojira, DevilDriver, Shadows Fall or Atreyu with them as support I will be very very happy indeed =D

Q Meister

I can’t believe there’s no Birmingham date for ANOTHER metal band, they all seem to bypass the academy and go to bloody Wulfrun Hall and for those of us who don’t have cars or a reliable means of transport that sucks, once again I’ll be missing one of my fave bands. Suckage.

Raven Lee

why aren’t they going to Reading like Dragonforce? obvs Trivium Don’t appreciate their fans as much as Dragonforce if they’re only goin to the big towns; where of course thats where all the metal fans live and they dont live anywhere else!

Pure Sincerity

Joel, if they Gojira or Driver with them i might just have to go….

Fucking right they should!
Both bands have played with or supported them at some point.

Trivium, Devildriver and Zao all supported In Flames on their Come Clarity US tour.
And Gojira supported them with Annihalator and Sanctity (who I think have since disbanded/are in a shit state of affairs at the moment) on their Crusade tour.

36 Crazyfists would also be a solid choice for support (Y)

Annihilator as support again please?

Their my fave band ever >.<
Jeff Waters = God

If they take any UK bands for their opener/s I hope they choose Malefice and/or Sylosis as both are pretty good bands I’ve been meaning to check out more :)

i think they should do like a comp for the opening band on each gig just like they did for the unholy alliance last year. And plus i would love it if atreyu were to support them would be amazing

inferno

jingee…trivium arent as big as bullet?……are you kidding me? bullet dont come close to trivium
and will people quit bitching about the crusade its in the past even though i thought it wasnt a bad album but shogun was brilliant.
cant wait for this tour and smaller venues means a far better personal trivium show, reckon itl sell out

DevilDriver…nah don’t think they’re gonna open for Trivium after they tear apart the UK in October…

Gojira, hmmm, maybe.

Atreyu and Sylosis would be better bets and fucking amazing bets!

The Black Dahlia Murder might?

Would be cool if someone like Coheed did, they did tour with ‘Knot together.

Fuck!

No Sheffield?

Pure Sincerity

Scott, yeah gonna see Driver twice in october but they might just wanna tear it up again!

…and DD are a headlining not support band so yeh not likely – but you can never get enough \,,/

Joel, bang on the money again, Malefice would b fukin great, but with Gojira too!

PS, i wouldn’t say DD couldn’t support; i just can’t see it xD

To be honest i’d love to see em bring someone completely unknown like what Disturbed did, maybe give us someone completely new

A competition for being openign band each night could work yeah.
I’m sure any aspiring band would be aware that a support slot with a band as popular as Trivium would certainly get them some attenion :D

Well you never know!
Sure DD are big enough to head out on their own nowadays, but they could be special guests, plus as Pure Sincerity said, can’t get enough of them right now, and if anyone here’s picked up their new album I think you’ll whole heartedly agree!

But yeah a NEW/unheard of band’s a thought too, as it often happens that said unknown band at the time will go on to accomplish great things xD

noobpotato

People talking about support from devildriver is getting me even more excited, hopefully its not just someone random who they toured with back in 05 or whatever.

Think they toured with STill Remaisn and 3 Inches Of Blood in 2005, but SR have disbanded :(

FINALLY!!

A band who goes to both CARDIFF and BRISTOL instead of just one!!!!!

We don’t get enough BIG gigs in Wales except SLAYER (The Unholy Alliance).

This may persuade me to go see them twice, whoever’s arranged this tour is a very, very, clever man!

Gojira, God Forbid and Sylosis would be awsome.

jessica

you guys (trivium) fucking rocked when you came to el paso tx!! cant wait till you come back!! please come back soon.

TRIVIUM FAN 01

BRISTOL!!!!!!!

i never thought they would come to my own town

Hopefully bodom tour with them,
fucking love bodom their awesome!

you never know, bodom havnt got anything planned !
Cant fucking wait though, no matter who they take,
its still going to be epic
