Any of those bands would be worthy inductees, but without Mustaine none would exist. If only one band can go in this week, it should be Megadeth. I’m surprised at the anti-Pantera vibes, I thought they were one of those bands that everyone liked. Can’t say I agree with VDOP sounding horrible, think that’s more to do with your setup mate.

I used to know a guy who met Anselmo a number of times and said that he shared the award for “worlds biggest cunt” with Kerry King. As a person, I couldn’t care less about Anselmo but vocally I think he’s great.

I will concede that Pantera have had a bit of a Nirvana-esque period after Dimebag was shot, but as with Nirvana, there were plenty of people who liked them before that happened.

You’d have to be an idiot to think that Pantera has only received acclaim AFTER Dimebag was shot. I’m not a big Pantera fan, but they absolutely deserve to be in a “Metal” Hall of Fame. They have 3 or 4 Grammy Nominations under their belt and have influenced so many bands that are up and coming today.

I also agree that Death definitely holds a place in the HoF. I mean…it’s fucking Death!!!
