Their music has changed alot over the years, but in a good way imo. They’ve matured, they try different stuff and the pull it off everytime. One of if not THE best metal band around atm. Not afraid of what people might think! They just do their own thing.

I like the new slipknot there very good at pulling different styles off.
However the self titled and Iowa albums are by far the strongest as the music is so much more rawer and I believe better I loved the intensity. Off the last two albums they make it harder for me to call em a Metal band but in a good way.

slipknot have started to suck real bad, the last 2 album have been boring hard rock albums, there is no sikckness in slipknot like there used to be, now they are just in it for the money and it was all lies from the beginning when they said they would not sing ballads and shit like that.

@ AIC thats bullshit man they aren’t in it for the money they did say that back then but times change and so do people they’re just doing what they want and experimenting with different types of music which i personally think isn’t a bad idea and plus if you think about it yeah the last two albums weren’t the best but still kick ass either way.

If they had stayed that way , you would judge them for lack of productivity and inspiration!
They haven’t changed so much considernig “gematria”, “All hope is Gone”,”Psychosocial”,”Sulfur”,and other songs. I think that every day that passes they create pieces of jewllery , not just songs.
Bring in to your mind that every single last song of their is unique , and don’t hesitate to admit that we don’t headband all the day! (see what Corey’s throat has become!) I love every song they’ve made because in the lyrics of all them there is a SIC meaning. Even in Snuff which is the most powerfull balad i’ve heard years now. The dealing of pain when losing someone and try to stay sober and arise is unspeakable.

Yet again a bunch of losers trying to justify how this “isn’t the Slipknot that came out 10 years ago” etc etc etc. But you find me a band that have never changed and still remained great. Slipknot are one of the best metal bands of all time. The only thing I don’t like about them these days is that it is turning into more of business with them juggling Slipknot with the side projects. But Stone Sour fucking rule too! Metal! Oh and this song is class, the SHORT FILM is also mint. Check out the dude above saying that a short film has to be between 8 and 20 mins…haha

Slayer, thats a band who havent changed and still rule. Iron Maiden, Saxon, Judas Priest, Megadeth, loads of bands. Very rarely do bands drastically change their sound without alienating their fanbase. The “fans” of ‘Knot today dont even recognize the old songs when they play them live but lose their minds to the new ballad crap.

I also think it’s pretentious bollocks but I’m gonna blame it on the delivery (too polished yet amateur) and the unnecessary recruitment of a d-grade actor (reminds me of Korn’s ‘make me bad’ in that sense). I don’t think anyone would question Coreys ability to express anger/frustration uniquely – but this doesn’t play on his strengths. Would like to see him in decent acting roles.

I love this song and I like the vid .. although I had to watch it a few times to understand it. The shoe sniffing bit always gets me! Corey looks weird, he is so skinny now and he looks so young in this. Makes me look forward to the next Stone Sour album.

i like this song, yes it is one of slipknots more mellow songs but so is vermillion pt2, i dont see anyone having anything bad to say about that, why?, beceause it shows a limp, lifeless body floating up into the air as aposed to corey dressed as a woman? or because it can easily be made into your own and every little girly can sing along and pretend its about them? truth is, this song is a lot darker and the video a lot more realistic as to how someone can become and feel through anger, heartbreak, longing. This video shows how slipknot has matured and how they have the ability to explore with there talent and try new things, you cant expect all there songs to be full of the same words or meaning nobody in the world has only one emotion, i can listen back on there music and understand them in a different way as i experience my life, dont judge them if you are having trouble understanding it listen to the song without the video, if you dont like it at all just dont listen to it at all but dont judge it, they will always have there loyal fans anyway. <3
