What We Know About Tonight’s Download Announcement
What can we expect from tonight’s Download announcement here at 7.45pm.
* According to Download booker Andy Copping’s weekend blog, a total of 9 bands will be announced tonight.
* We’re expecting AC/DC to be part of it. Come on, you all saw that they posted it on their official site, didn’t you? Ah-ha, ah-haa, haa-ah-haaa-ha! THUNDER!
*Have a look at the Rock Am Ring additions thus far. As we mentioned back in early December, we reckon one or two of these may show up in tonight’s announcement.
* Copping’s blog also mentions that he has “deliberately held a few bands back so that we can keep the news stories flowing but be rest assured more top line acts will be announced sooner rather than later.”
* A posting from the Download twitter on January 18th reveals “Yup, it’s official – capacity at Download this year is getting increased to 110,000 – blimey, that’s a LOT of people”.
* The Twitter has also mentioned the rumour that the mainstage will be moved 10 metres to the right. So now, you know. Riveting, we know.

I’m thinking maybe AC/DC will be held back.
I’m more expecting to get one of the other headliners in honesty.
Why are they increasing capacity? It’s never sold out.

Last year sold out. So did the year before (I think) and I’m pretty sure 2009 sold out.

Anyway, if last years line up is anything to go by, i am sure DL with again be up for putting on a proper show.
Right carpe jack, 2009 was a sell out, I’m not too sure about 08 due to late ticket releases and also 2005 sold out too, not forgetting this years sell out, it will defo sell out this year.
ill take 10,000 to 15,000 people at BOA and have the better atmosphere and better bands
Is there any reason why Soundgarden havent been thrown in the rumour pile?
When i saw they had reformed i instantly figured they would show up at a festival this year.
