Your Guide To The New Download Additions
Come on in for our video guide to the 8 new bands added to the Download line-up!
Meshuggah
Not many bands can stand up to Meshuggah when it comes to a full-on sonic assault. Technical, powerful and heavy as fuck, put simply Meshuggah’s set at Download will be one of the best of the weekend. You don’t want to miss it by nipping off to the Mexican food stand (no matter how good the cheese and salsa wedges usually are).

Five Finger Death Punch
We knew there may have been something special about these boys when we booked them to play our Defenders Of the Faith tour, but the reaction to Five Finger Death Punch has bee HUGE! Our Twitter community were head over heels at this announcement. Check out the video below to see why!

Opeth
What’s left to say about Opeth that hasn’t been said before/ The most elegant of all heavy acts, a band capable of pure beauty while summoning the beast and one of the Hammer offices very favourite bands.
Check out Bleak from Opeth’s The Roundhouse Tapes.
Dir En Grey
Royalty in their native country, these Japanese cyber-metallers bring with them one of the world’s most passionate supports. They’re still something of an unknown quantity in the UK so if you want to see the far east’s biggest metal band, look no further at Download.

Steadlur
Roadrunner Records latest signings. The comparisons are all about motley Crue, Buckcherry et al and you can get a closer look at what the band stand for in their electronic press kit below.

Duff McKagan’s Loaded
They took part in a Hammer sponsored tour last year and picked up a reputation as a hell of a live band and now Uncle Duff is bringing his merry men to Donington park. Get your fix of filth with the ex-Guns N’ Roses and current Velvet Revolver guvnor.
Check out Seattled from Duff McKagan’s Loaded!
Lawnmower Deth
These old school British thrashers not only have one of the greatest names to have ever graced metal, but also tore the roof off of Alexandra Palace while supporting Bullet For My Valentine last December. If you’re a fan of Municipal Waste and love a dash of humour with your metal, this will be directly up your alley.

You Me At Six
Our mothers taught us that if you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all.
Download will take place on June 12th – 14th at Donington and will feature sets from Faith No More, Slipknot, Def Leppard, Whitesnake, The Prodigy, Limp Bizkit, Motley Crue, Marilyn Manson, Korn, ZZ Top, Down, Journey and many, many more.
We brought you news last week of who we expect to be playing the 2nd stage at this year’s event, while 12 new names were also officially announced. Check out our exclusive guide to last week’s Download additions!

Great comment for You Me At Six.
YM@6 is a weak addition
