Johnny Truant have been forced to reschedule a large section of their upcoming UK tour after lead singer Olly Mitchell fell onstage and dislocated his knee.
In a statement, Mitchell has said: “Never in 8 years have we had to cancel shows under these circumstances. But unfortunately in Luton 2 days ago i dislocated and fractured my knee. It’s with a heavy heart that we have to cancel the next 3 weeks of shows as I’m on doctors orders to stay in bed and off my foot so that I’m able to continue with our touring schedule when I’m well again. I want to thank everyone that has come out so far and supported us, we were having a fantastic time and you guys have all made it very special. We will be rescheduling the shows for December time and so get ready for a big come back, send my knee good vibes!”
Dates having to be rescheduled so far are Southampton, Reading, Milton Keynes, Norwich, Nottingham, Stoke, Sheffield, Peterborough, Glasgow, Manchester, Leeds, Oxford and London. The bands August dates in Newcastle, Gloucester, Brighton and Aldershot will go ahead as scheduled.
