Reunited pop-punk outfit speak about touring and the new material that they’ve been recording.
Travis Barker from Blink 182 recently sat down with MTV for a chat about the band’s reformation and to talk about the direction of their new material, revealing that the songs are picking up from where the band left off on their 2003 self-titled effort.
Barker also confirms that the band will be playing a new track called ‘Up All night’ on their forthcoming US tour.

Lets be honest, they aren’t musically good at all. Simple chords, simple chord structures. Its only Travis and the occasional lyric that saves them. But its feel good music and i for one like them and will definately be to see em. Their material wont change, it will still be the same old stuff. Quite why its on here i dont know. Not metal in the slightest. Hardly punk either. But if they can cover MC fucking R and Limp B. then they can cover what the well they like
WHAT THE FUCK! LEAVE BLINK-182 ALONE! THEY FUCKING ROCK! just because they ‘aren’t metal’ doesn’t mean people can’t like the music! listening to blink-182 doesn’t make morbid fucking angel or iron maiden any LESS metal. See the point I’m making here?

If we wanted to know what Blink 182, MCR, Green Day etc. were doing, we’d be reading Kerrang (traitors they are!).
You’re called METAL Hammer for a reason, live up to it damn you!
P.S. I’m not saying you should be completely closed off to other music, I just think you need to focus on metal, (hard) rock, prog, and PROPER punk, not watered down crap like this.
