Bring Me The Horizon have announced the details of their new album ‘There Is A Hell, Believe Me I’ve Seen It. There Is A Heaven, Let’s Keep It A Secret’. Read all the details including tracklist here!

BRING ME THE HORIZON are defining the sound of modern metal. The Sheffield band’s third full length album, There Is A Hell, Believe Me I’ve Seen It. There Is A Heaven, Let’s Keep It A Secret is the sound of one of the UK’s most exciting bands fulfilling their true potential and taking their unique brand of heavy music to urgent, exciting and dark new levels.

After the commercial and critical success of previous album ‘Suicide Season’ (2008), BMTH were determined to explore the more experimental side of their music, refusing to be confined to the unwritten rules of the Metalcore scene that spawned and catapulted them to worldwide domination. From the progressive opening riff and digital manipulation of choristers in the epic ‘Crucify Me’, to the violins of ‘Don’t Go’, to instrumental track ‘Memorial’, it quickly becomes clear that this is an album like no other.

The band locked themselves away in a lochside mansion deep in rural Scotland for the majority of the writing period, and, free from distractions, the band were able to push their writing further than ever. Yet the album still includes the trademark elements that have become staples of Bring me the Horizon’s sound since 2006 – precision guitar riffs, venomously dark lyrics, massive beatdowns and gang vocals destined to be chants at the band’s incendiary live shows.

The team at Studio Fredman in Gothenburg, Sweden (where they previously recorded 2008’s smash Suicide Season) were again at the helm of the recording, this time bringing in electronic and programming authority KC Blitz to assist with the instrumental aspects of the album. The album also includes appearances from various special guests, including Josh Franceschi of You Me At Six (on ‘Fuck’) who stated “I’m really excited to be part of this record as it’s going to turn some heads, and that’s what music is all about.”

Also featuring on the album is Josh Scogin of The Chariot (on ‘The Fox And The Wolf’) – “This album’s so good, it made my chest hurt!”, Sonny Moore aka Skrillex with electronica contributions – “Oli and I started the collaborations on this album in a very natural way, just bouncing ideas off each other like we often do over the internet. I did a little programming, and he asked me to come down to the studio to do some additional vocals. I think it turned out amazing” and Canadian electro-pop starlet LIGHTS (on ‘Crucify Me’ and ‘Don’t Go’).

There Is A Hell, Believe Me I’ve Seen It. There Is A Heaven, Let’s Keep It A Secret is, in many ways, a concept album. Frontman Oli Sykes vividly explores humanity’s collective good nature and the celestial euphoria associated with love, lust, truth and desire; this is balanced by the darkness and evil that is buried deep inside all of us. Lyrically and musically, the album is the band’s most honest work to date as Sykes lays bare his fears, weaknesses and anger, which is just one layer on this truly progressive and advanced third album.

Bring me the Horizon are on tour the US, UK, Australia and Japan throughout 2010. See www.myspace.com/bmth for more info and live dates or contact Austen at Visible Noise:

Can’t fucking wait!

Phantasmagasm

The artwork reminds me of Assassins Creed…

RawBeard

The only album of theirs I like is Suicide Season Recut, the remixes on that album are awesome. And I do like the original Chelsea Smile song, apart from that the rest of their output has been gash. I will check this out to see what direction they have gone in

plus I hope they do another remix album

The Unknown

BMTH are just sad emos arses that cant roar to save their own nuts

there music sucks and always will.

Milk Lizard

I do have high hopes for this. First album was shit, second album was surprisingly good, or had good moments, anyway-this’ll be the decider for whether I like them or not.

Slightly looking forward to this. Shame they’re not playing Sheffield tbh.

Michael Dean

I hope they don’t go all pussy on us again. Suicide season was bad enough. This is what the edge of your seat was made for and count your blessings, are shining examples of why this is such a good band. Why can’t we go back to when BMTH were good?

Jimmy Jim

In all honesty i think the artwork looks pants, But hopefully the music will be good.
Track 4 sounds quite hilarious.

More electronic sounds ? I can’t wait to hear that. I loved Suicide Season. And they worked with KC Blitz and Skrillex… Good !!!
I can’t wait !! Hope they’ll come to european continent too.

Michael

Defining the sound of modern metal? Lol give me a break,if anything these jumped up clip on fringe twats are diluting the sound of modern metal. Great true metal Underground bands go without record deals and yet these whiny cunts have the media (aswell as every fat scene chick within earshot) sucking their dicks

Cyanide_sickler

Defining the sound of Modern Metal? No.

Lamb Of God took over that a couple of years back; solidified it on Wrath last year, whether we like it or not. BMTH have nothing on them, live or in talent. You’ll hear music in the precision riffs; not just feedback and 000-05—-5—5-3-1-00000. BMTH do not write music, I’ll give that they write rhythms, but that does not make a great song, particularly with spastic vocals. The lyrics can be strong at times; when he busted off his voice they should have changed him out though rather than leaving him to whine when he tries for his highs. Randy Blythe may not be the most diverse, but his voice can soar, AND he didn’t completely ruin it. I’m taking a stand that Lamb Of God are the band to go to for modern metal; not a breakdown-happy over promoted scene band. There must be something in the water I’m just not tasting. But this craze seems very similar to Job For A Cowboy.

Leper Affinity

Possibly the worst album title ever. Also, “venomously dark lyrics”? More like laughably bad, designed-for-15-year-old-emo-kid lyrics.

FUCK THESE EMO FAGS!!!

”Frontman Oli Sykes vividly explores humanity’s collective good nature and the celestial euphoria associated with love, lust, truth and desire; this is balanced by the darkness and evil that is buried deep inside all of us.”

LOL, what a load of bollocks, he pisses on people :D

“BRING ME THE HORIZON are defining the sound of modern metal.”

Funny since they aren’t actually a metal band (they’re a metalcore/deathcore band and metalcore is hardcore not metal)

PureSincerity

This is the most comments I’ve seen on a Metal Hammer article, and a lot of it is whining and bitching about how shit BMTH are.
WHY THE FUCK DID YOU EVEN COME ON THIS ARTICLE THEN?!
Bunch of wankers.

Greg, you seem to have focussed squarely on only one half of the origin of metalcore, (the ‘core’ part), some might say to prove your own point.

You can’t ignore the fact that metalcore is in part an American variant (or bastardisation, however you choose to look at it) of Scandinavian melodic death metal, fusing the At the Gates, In Flames, Soilwork, Dark Tranquility etc. sound with that of the fertile American hardcore scene.

Just because metalcore bands don’t sound like Iron Maiden it doesn’t mean that they aren’t part of the legacy of authentic ‘metal’ bands.

Metalcore is a fusion of metal and hardcore. The mixture may favour one element more than the other but you simply can’t dismiss the metal element simply because you’ve come to the erroneous conclusion that only good things can be classed as metal.

……….

excellent, your http://www.alljewishlinks.com blog site template is definitely nice, I’m seeking to get a new template for my own blog site, I like yours, now I am going to go research the exact same design!…
