Dave Mustaine Issues Open Letter To Metallica
Dave Mustaine has issued an open letter to Metallica regarding their upcoming induction to the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.
Speaking on Megadeth’s official website, Dave Mustaine had the following to say: “”Metallica, as you know, has been selected to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. So, it is with much respect that I say congratulations!”
“I also had the nice surprise of hearing that they called to invite me to the pre-ceremony party the night before, and then to the actual ceremony. Unfortunately, as you all know, I will be winding down our European tour with JUDAS PRIEST, so I will be unable to attend. However, I’d like to say to Lars (Ulrich) and James (Hetfield), I am so very proud of all you have accomplished. I will continue to pray for the very best for you and your families, as I always have.”
“Thank you for the invitation and thinking of me.”

Metallica have also announced this week that they, along with AC/DC, will be releasing their own line of Converse trainers.

Im a massive Metallica fan but the music Megadeth has come out with rocks just as much(…except Hanger 18 which is frankly the 2nd best metal song ever…just behind Maidens ‘Hallowed Be Thy Name’)!

How very mature of him. I’ve always respected Dave Mustaine, and think it’s great that he’s put his grudge to one side to congratluate his old bandmates.

Firstly fair play to James and Lars for inviting Mustaine in the first place and secondly to Mustaine for a nice and fitting response. Let’s hope one day that all 3 will perform together on stage again for all the fans of both bands to see!!!

Nice to see him congratulating them, that’s good, but “will continue to pray for the very best for you and your families, as I always have.” No he has not always, Megadeth was born out of hate for them.
Out of Metal and credibility, Megadeth have GREATLY stoof the test of time more than Metallica. They have much more accurately called Metal.

shocked and happy to hear such a thing from my friend imcha that they recently became friends coz i am a fan of both the bands but more i prefer megadeth……and more than that dave mustaine ……….anyway metalica have now seen what dave mustaine is as for his reply of the letter……as if it was supposed 2 b me then i would have replied a big FUCK YOU poster to them
