Download review: Journey
Classic rock returns to Download!
While it’s great to see DevilDriver open up a circle pit that’s the size of a continent and Slipknot play a set that’s so ferociously heavy it makes you feel like you’re going to bleed from your eyes, getting to see real classic rock at Download is a beautiful thing.
If you’re in your early 20’s or younger, the chances are that you will have missed Monsters Of Rock and getting to see Journey play to a crowd who lap up every last second of their set makes up for that ten-fold.
At the end of the day, they play ‘Don’t Stop Believing’ and ‘Any Way You Want It’ one after another. If you can do that, you can’t fail and Journey don’t.
Check out pics of Journey’s set on the official Download website.

Forget what all the black metal bands think. This is what hell will really sound like.
I’m looking forward to seeing or hearing some of the “3 piece from Sheffield” headlining act, with guitarist Pete Willis, playing tracks from their album ‘Atomic Mass’ later on.
WTF am I going on about?
