How is the writing going?
Wade Macneil: “It’s been going great. For the first time ever we have too many songs.”
Are there any lyrical themes pervading?
Wade Macneil: “Particle physics, nomadic lifestyle, metaphysical rebellion.”
You’ve been writing for ages, do you always write for ages?
Wade Macneil: “No we usually come off the road. Kiss our girlfriends, do our laundry, write a record in a month, record it the next month, then leave for tour.”
‘Crisis’ was such a huge album, from the songs so far, will this top it?
Wade Macneil: “I think it is a big step up for us, its very different but its still Alexisonfire. It is also fucking heavy.”
You really hit the big time in the UK since the last LP, do you see that continuing over here?
Wade Macneil: “The UK has always felt like home away from home for us touring. I think people will like the new tunes.”
When are you in the studio?
Wade Macneil: “Feb 1st.”
When is the album out?
Wade Macneil: “No release date as of yet, before the summer definitely.”
What are your other general plans for the rest of the year?
Wade Macneil: “Keep writing songs till the day we go into the studio, then hide out from the winter and watch hockey.”
Will Black Lungs/C&C go on hold for AoF or will you guys fit those things in around AoF commitments?
Wade Macneil: “Dallas and I will both be playing shows here and there. But, we are back now to doing Alexis all the time.”
Do you have a highlight of the year?
Wade Macneil: “Probably yesterday when dallas referred to someone as “a canker sore in the mouth of the world”
