their far too repetitive, solo’s are terrible, vocals arn’t that great.

riffs all sound too similar throughout all slayers albums to the point where you can’t tell when one song ends and another begins.

only good thing about them is Dave’s drumming but that alone isn’t enough for them to be considered metal gods

Im looking forward to it but i havnt been blown away by either Hate Worldwide or Psychopathy Red (although both are good enough songs). Im hoping they are the filler tracks and theres some evil sounding shit like ‘Soth of Heaven’, ‘Spill the Blood’ or (the imense) ‘Dead Skin Mask’

Hey Jamie, I get what you mean about Slayer songs being repetative (even the most die-hard fan cant deny 50% of everything they do is the same same riff) but lets be honest, if thats what their fans like, thats what they get.

ATG, Carcas and Death (RIP Chuck) are great bands (although personaly i prefer Nile and Testament ), but you’d be hard pressed to argue that they are bigger bands than Slayer (sorry, i hate the term ‘metal gods’…unless it applies to Dio *his name being Italian for God* metalhoop calling them ‘icons’ is better meethinks)

Undisputed Attitude was not meant to be a ‘metal’ album: it was made in answer to all the shitty pop-punk bands that appeared thinking they were punk when they owed more of their image/sound to boybands.
You chose to miss out 94’s Divine Intervention with Slayer’s arguably fastest ever song Dittohead.
Slayer may have downtuned for Diabolus but it was still heavy as fuck e.g. Bitter Peace.
Then quoting Pantera as defenders of metal in teh 90’s??? Their best album was VDOP back in 92, but after that as their drug intake increased, their album quality went down the pan.

Words fail me. Far Beyond Driven is a classic, but is it better than Reign In Blood? THE benchmark for thrash metal?? I don’t think so! Slayer started out in the early 80’s when a lot of bands sang about satan and had evil lyrics (Venom, Possessed, Bathory, Celtic Frost etc). In my opinion they’re all classic bands so are they all posers too? Quorthon changed his musical style and lyrics as did Celtic Frost. Kerry King’s not forcing Tom Araya to sing the lyrics is he? Maybe you should actually listen to Christ Illusion and hear how the lyrics are being sung by Tom. Then tell me he’s a religious man!
